For many years the Menindee Lakes region of New South Wales were dry but recently rains have filled the lakes and life returns to the region. Despite the reinvigoration there are reminders of the harsh times gone by. 100s, 1000s of dead trees stand sentinel along the shoreline and far out into the lake itself. Thankfully wildlife is again prevalent on the lakes that is alive with birds and fish.
I captured this image late in the day May 2021. It's a long exposure using NiSi neutral density filters. Cropping to 3:1 panorama format
