It was a cold morning about 4am when I set out to the dock to take some astro shots. Freycinet in Tasmania is just stunning and with Coles Bay wide before me it was only myself and the seals swimming in the water. Despite the brightness of the image I couldn’t see anything with my own eyes, it was full dark. One of the seals thought they would take a closer look because without warning one surfaced right beside the dock and choofed out air through its nose – gave me the fright of my life.
